Constantly updating time excel

If you are curious to know how Excel stores dates and times, please check out part 1 of this tutorial - Excel date format.

You can type a date in an Excel cell in a variety of ways, for example 1/1/2015, or 1-Jan-2015, or 1-Jan, or January 1, 2015.

The date and time will update whenever the worksheet is recalculated or opened.

Yes I use the word hack, because you would be changing something in your machine to circumvent the way the software reacts.... thanks all , I think it worked , but all the formula I added to the cells is gone .if I enter "open" in cell ( K7 ) the word "pending" will appear in cell ( M7 ).and if I enter "closed" in cell ( K7 ) the date of today will appear in cell ( M7 ).For example, do you want to enter a today's date in some report or invoice?Or, perhaps you want to insert a date in Excel that will update automatically and always display the current date and time?
